THE EGG: BETWEEN FRAGILITY AND ETERNITY

The egg contains, protects, breaks, and gives birth

In Barbara's wall sculptures, it becomes matter, symbol and memory.

Real eggshells, assembled one by one, compose reliefs where each fragment retains its singularity while participating in a whole.

The pigments reveal textures and give depth to these organic landscapes, which sometimes evoke seabeds.

The artist's signature blue occupies a special place: intense and enveloping, it invites one to lose oneself in the material.

At the heart of some compositions appear his bronze figures, sculpted by the artist and then cast using the lost-wax method.

Their presence creates a dialogue between the delicacy of the shells and the permanence of the metal.

Between abundance and balance, these works explore the fragility of life, rebirth, and the passage of time.

What could break becomes a lasting presence
